How important is the Roof over your head?
Weatherboards
Replacing your existing weatherboards or installing new weatherboards to your home is a fantastic way to renovate your homes exterior and increase the market value to your most precious asset. There are so many options for weatherboards the sky is the limit. From softwood treated timber & reconstituted hardwood options by Weathertex to fibre cement weatherboards, the hardest decision is going to be what weatherboards to go for!
" As a carpenter, weatherboards are my absolute favourite exterior cladding option for home building. The complete elimination of any issues of cracking or crazing over time associated with masonry renders or texture coated blue board makes weatherboards the ultimate option in my professional opinion. Houses do move and weatherboards have freedom to move under wind loads and other movement factors as they are multiple pieces forming the walling exterior. They also look great and eliminate the boring monotony of a rendered wall or face bricks" Jai Evans Carpenter & unrestricted Registered Builder.

Gable Weatherboards, barge boards and full eaves replacement Willetton. This client approached me with quite a large scope of work. The property was in dire need of fixing up. The old feature timbers on the gables were literally falling off. The eaves sheeting in the porch and carport areas ceilings were also nearly falling down . We removed the old make shift timber pergola with shade cloth as this was quite dangerous and only had a few rusted fixings holding it up. The client opted for a pre primed Weathertex weatherboard which was screw fixed ready to be filled and painted. To view the full eaves replacement photos including the carport and porch entry areas visit our Eaves replacement page. The clients were so excited and happy with the new look that they started painting the first gable as soon as I had finished it over their weekend. View the before and after photos below.
